Default Keypad

Can a lariat keypad work in a xlt.? I believe my door has the wiring If so how can I re-program it to work.? Thanks.

i have one from the factory in my XLT...im willing to bet the wiring is there for it in yours...you would just have to get the code...i forget where ford hides it

Check in the door for a green connector like this.... I just added one to my XLT.

Your code is on a module behind your rear seat. You have to take the back of the seat off. If you don't know how here's a link to a how to video hopefully the link works.

I recently added a keypad to my xlt it was plug And play got my code from behind the rear seat and works perfectly.

Thank you for the links I'll be checking into this. Recently ordered newer badges and 4x4 stickers as well, time to freshen the ol gal up.

So eventhough I didn't have the key pad the code is still on the box anyways?

Yes, you have power locks so you'll have that module and on that module there's a 5 digit code, Install the handle, plug it in, lock your doors, enter code and it should work like a charm.

Also to lock your doors with the keypad push 7-8 and 9-0 together. to unlock all of your doors enter your code and then hit button 3-4 and this will unlock all doors.
