Default keyless entry question

just picked up a 2005 Lariat from dealer (2005) and didn't get the keypad code for the keyless entry (no wallet card in vehicle). The owners's manual said the factory code on a sticker on the "computer module" (PCM?) - any truth to that? Dealer said they have to pull the code with the scanner.

Thanks!

Behind your back seat on the rear cab firewall on the driverside is a box. There's your code.

I traded up to a 2005 Supercrew Lariat last June. How do you like it so far? I'm a big guy and I love the captain's chairs and the leather. Got the Arizona Beige with the tan leather. Upgraded the sound system to get Sirius and ipod connections. Installing my amp and sub tomorrow. Mileage sucks because it is 4wd and a heavy truck. Trying to talk myself into tackling the spark plug nightmare!

This worked for me- from the other ford f150 forum- i have a 2001 lariat Scab-

Keyless entry code If you were sitting in the driver seat, look above where your left toe would be up against the firewall, there is a box look for a 5 digit # Larger than the other #s this is the original entry code.
Use a flashlight!

Apologies- the newer year models have a different hiding place- a little overanxious to participate.

I used that on my 2003 also, but it isn't the same with the 04-08 body style. You have to get it off of the firewall behind the back seat. It is pretty easy

Default Thanks to all!

Thanks to all who replied to my post. I said the truck was a 2005 - it's an '07 - 5 years old (duh). Took it up north this weekend and it was just a great ride. My back problem really liked the seats! It ran great and was very comfortable. Got a few questions about some stuff - will post later. The dealer is going to pull the 5 digit code and yes I believe the number is on the rear firewall on the '04 forward. So I'd have to pull the seat. Here's my curious question: when I picked it up at the dealer they had to make a second key - they had only one. And there was no wallet card in the vehicle with the code. So somewhere there is another key AND the key code???

I LOVE THE TRUCK!

Most people pull the wallet card from the glove box just so the valet folks can't get it. And many people don't turn in all their keys when they trade in their trucks. With the Ford PATS system you need at least 2 keys in order to get a new one programmed (by yourself anyway), so the dealer did the right thing for you.

I wouldn't worry about the extra key or card out there. Unless they specifically kept it so they can track down your truck, you'll never see it again. If it really bothers you, the PATS system can be reset by the dealer ($$$) or a good auto locksmith.

Thanks Pooch. I'm not really concerned and yes I think the dealer did the right thing. They pulled the code so I'm good now. My house is guarded by Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson and a good ol' boy from Ithaca NY. ;-)! I have some other questions I guess that should be a new thread? tires, paint touch up (yes I dinged it :-( ) etc.
