Keyless entry code
A fair number of threads here on the topic. In short, the most common location is a label on the control module attached to the rear "firewall" behind the rear seat rest. That's where it is on my '05 supercrew. Or, a dealer can pull the code - some charge for that, so may not.
EDIT: I see Badfish beat me to it as I was typing - with a more instructive video to boot

Also I believe it is in nearly the same place if you have a supercab or regular cab but I can't say for sure. I should have asked what style of cab your buddy has first. The video I posted works for all SuperCrews from 04-08 (not 04 Heritage)
I have a 2004 single cab f150 4x4. I found the keyless entry code on the security module that is located behind the driver side, rear small doorjamb panel. I pulled the rubber seal loose and popped just enough panel away to see the sticker on the module.
Almost a 2 year old post revived, but can also confirm as I found mine there today and programmed a new code. Pro tip. The longer the screwdriver is, the easier it is to remove the seat back.

Just a note, two years later: I was about to pull my rear seat back and dig down to the code when a buddy said he just went to his local Ford dealership, no appointment or anything, drove into the service department entrance, and asked them for the code. In 10 minutes, they sent him on his way, code in hand, at no charge.
I just followed his lead and had the exact same experience. They just looked up the VIN and verified my ID and ownership of the vehicle, and in less than 10 minutes, I was driving out of the garage with my code written on a sticky note. No charge.
Way easier than pulling the back seat!
