Default keyless entry

ok guys, i just bought a kit to put keyless in my stx, i put it in my 95, not hard pretty easy install, but anyways im goin to put it in when i go home for fall break, but my question is is there a simple way to make my lights blink when i lock the door like a oem system does, i think on my old kit it had something to splice in to the headlight wires for it or something... so does anyone who has installed these kits know how to do this or that has done it, im thinkin of makin a write up with pictures so any info will be appreciated

we need more info here... did you buy an eom add in, or is it aftermarket? i ahev added several aftermarket systems, and yes, they splice into the parking light circuit.

as for the oem kits, i cannot speak for sure as to how they work. i have not done one of them yet.

yea there will be a wire that should be for headlight, just pop off the headlight switch panel, wire tap into it, then they will blink when you lock/unlock the fob.

ok thanks atom, sounds simple enough, just have to make sure which wire it is but with mine i dont think there could be too many wires behind the switch itself annyways, well on the 15th i hope to get it installed

its a basic truck package...... no power locks or windows, keeps cost down, but alot of new cars all have power windows, locks, keyless and of course AC standard
