Default Key replacement question

My FOB broke on my 2005 f150 lariat, it broke off the keyring, and then the shell fell apart.

I know I could just get another FOB, but I want to get one of the ford keys that have the key, and wireless entry all in one. Similar to the ford Edge or Fusion. I've priced a couple keys on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-11-FORD-M...0629fb&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Ford-Lin...12a2e7&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-FUSION-...02700a&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-UNCUT-KE...6a5abc&vxp=mtr

However, all of these sellers have a compatibility list on the sellers page. None of them claim compatibility with my 2005 Lariat. Will they work anyway of if they still have the transponder?

Hey buddy. You might wanna call the dealership and double check with them if it is even possible. I'm not sure if the BCM as well as the RKE will support something like this, but I guess it just depends on the programming. Call them they will know for sure haha.

You could always get a Viper 4204 as well

Yea it is possible and you can program it yourself if you have 2 keys and a remote. Give me a bit and I will find tje thread on it. I had one I bought and had cut at Lowes(free). Since I had only 1 key I had to have ford prodram it for me.

Edit https://www.f150forum.com/f4/remote-flip-key-167545/
Take note of the one I purchased on the last page. Absolutely no problems with this key or seller.

The flip key does look neat. I'm a huge fan of those Ford Edge / Freestyle keys. The ones that have the buttons and key all together.

Has anyone used one of these keys successfully?

That key has everything all together. Its a 3 button remote and key all in one. In fact its the second one you have listed I believe.

If it has the ford transponder in it, it should work programming wise right? I have the two original factory keys to my ford. And one working remote.

Yeah just updated my post use that auction and if you have 2 keys and a working fob programming is a breeze.

If you have the ignition that's recessed a bigger key won't fit. I bought one of the flip keys and it programmed no problem, but wouldn't fit unless I took the rubber surrounding the ignition out, which looked like hell.
