Last night one of the guys at work had his tail gate stolen from his appartment complex. I had no idea they were so easy to take!

 

That sucks... yea a tailgate comes off in less then 30 seconds. Try it with yours you'll see, lol!!

 

yeah its super easy, my neighbor here at work had a couple of tacomas parked out in the street and had both of them stolen. He came over right away to tell me to lock my tailgate.

 

Another good reason to lock the tailgate is to protect the tail lights. A local Schucks (auto parts) has a newer little ford ranger and the tail lights have been stolen off of it three times in two years while it sits overnight in the parking lot.

i ALLWAYS lock mine its annoying sometimes but worth it

 

That's a pretty common occurence but somebody who really wants the tailgate will get it anyway my brother's was stolen while locked. The lock just keeps the petty thieves and high schoolers from taking it.
