Default Just bought a Superchips programmer

I was testing out my new superchips programmer that I just bought and put it on the performance setting. I noticed that its shifting a lot harder. My question is should I be concerned since I have not done any mods to my tranny, is it going to damage the tranny over time, or am I over re-acting

Default super chip shift

The chip is telling the tranny you want to go hard so it is making sure the tranny shifts. I would think after a while it would do something to it.

I may grow older but, I will never grow up !

From what I have heard a more firm shift gives you a longer tranny life due to less wear on the clutches from slipping between shifts.

What was stated above is correct, firming up the shifts limits slippage between gears which helps reduce wear.
