Default 2006 Lariat with 126,000 miles

Looking for some insight and help on a possible truck purchase. I am not too familiar with the f150 platform as it comes to reliability.

I have been looking at a 2006 Lariat SuperCrew 4x4 with 126,000 miles. The truck is very clean inside and out and is a one owner vehicle. All CARFAX and OASIS reports check out. I have the dealer talked down to $15,000 with a 30 day powertrain warranty as a little insurance.

What are some opinions on the price and any mileage concerns you would have? Any Lariat equipped truck I am able to find within a 100 mile radius of me is going for $22-$23k with 75-83k miles on them.

Thanks for your help

i paid $16k for my '05 lariat scab around 7 months ago.
had 70k miles and every option besides the fx4 package.

i see a trailer brake controller, you know what that means.

i wouldnt be scared of the mileage, so long as everything else seems copacetic.

Get them to knock off another grand and throw in a free spark plug change and I'd say if it runs fine, go for it.

Spark plug change is not that bad if you have some mechanical skills and the tools to do it with.I just broke 8 out of 8 and it was done in under 3 hours. As far as the truck goes.Maybe I am out of line or out of touch but the price seems a little high to me.I know it is a lariat and is loaded but I just bought my 2004 FX4 Crew with 62K and a bunch of Extras for 14,500.There are better deals out there I think and if you don't need the truck right this minute, I would keep hunting for a deal.It does look like a pretty sweet truck though.Good luck with your search/purchase.

I wish I knew where you lived.I just sold a 2004 FX4 loaded with console and leather with 98K for 14,000. I would have gladly taken 17 or 18 for it.I still made money though I had about 11,500 into it.It was a Voluntary bank repo. The deals are out there you just have to hunt for them.
