Ok, I've gone through several threads and after hours of reading I can't find what I'm looking for. I must be blind.

I have a pioneer avh-p3200bt that accepts a reverse camera, so I picked one up from china on ebay that mounts to the license plate blots and was only $14 shipped. I ran the video feed up the driver side frame rail and into the cab through the rubber grommet under the sill plate. I haven't decided where or how I'm going to power it up, I'm leaning towards powering it off the switched power for the HU so it'll be on when the truck is on.

My question though is what wire do I connect the reverse trigger wire from the HU to?

I read it was a blue wire in the passenger side, but have read issues with that one. I've read there is a black/pink wire that is in the drivers sill.

Which one?

Just remembered what I did. I tapped into the radio's power wire for the cameras power. For the reverse wire from the HU I ran a wire that was tapped into the positive wire on the reverse bulb. That way the HU knows when reverse is engaged. The cheap backup cameras suck! Mine worked good for a couple months then fogged totally up. Now it's just a big blur while in reverse. Did you get yours on eBay?

Did a search (advanced), selected the 2004 to 2008 forum, typed in "reverse wire), and the 6th post gave me the above link.

It's the black with pink striped wire, located on the drivers side foot well. Pull off the foot well cover to gain access.

I got it off ebay, I don't need it but figured it'd be a nice little addition for $14. If it craps out the wires are there for me plug in a better one down the road if I want to.
