Default iPod Adaptor Mounting Location/Tips

I just ordered a PIE FRD04-AUX iPod Adaptor for my 2006 F150's stock stereo. I was wondering if anyone else has this, where they mounted the box that the RCA cables plug into?

Also, any problems/tips I should know of before I go to install it? Please post pics. of where and how you mounted the box!

Thanks, this is what I'm talking about

You can get that exact same unit from Amazon for $70.17+shipping. That's what I used and install is just plug and play, run the wire right by the cig plun and mount the female/female connector (radioshack) there. I's really simple as long as you have some (not much) wiring knowledge.

I got mine from Amazon with the RCA cable for $78 total shipped. What do you mean running it by the cig plug? Do you have any pics?

Uhm... Lemme hunt for a min. It's a 1/4" hole you have to drill to fit it in the plastic piece - by the power outlet above your middle console cup holders... know where I mean? its like this - (___O_o_) the "O" represents the cig plug outlet and the little "o" is where I mounted the 3.5mm headphone jack, that's where you plug your ipod/phone into.

I think I know what you're saying, so the hole isn't there, you just drilled one next to your cig plug and mounted the converter box behind the plastic cover that goes around your stereo/heater controls? If you find pics that'd be great!

This one doesn't but they make a model that does, its about $15 more and you can control your iPod through your radio. When it comes in I'll post a DIY write up..still need to figure out where to mount this converter box though
