Well among other things it was about 8k in total damage/theft. But I haven't seen one wired up but my buddy is good with things like that and I'm sure we can figure out something when I install mine. The iPad is going to serve as the radio and is gonna be ran to three amps for door speakers, subs, and toolbox speakers.

If you look closely at the last picture in the grass that would be my ripped out radio bezel and next to it was a custom built $400 sub box

I had a viper alarm with the backup horn and battery as well (battery in sub box, horn hidden under k&n) and they destroyed the entire alarm system. Destroyed a $800 subwoofer, etc etc. I will make sure to tell him to take pics of the install and I will update y'all later next week when it is completed and by the way this happened when we were all flooded (October of last year in SC) and the truck was left at a shop that did not have cameras and the houses near them supposedly did not hear or see anything

My only worry would be that ipad mini being a thief magnet, especially after what you already went through. That sucks.

I like high quality stuff haha. But the iPad mount has a clip, similar to what an otter box has for your phone that clips to your waist, and I can take it out with ease

You plan on putting the iPad and the case in there? The iPad by itself fits almost perfect in the opening in the radio bezel. Not sure how it would fit or look with a case on it.

With the case yes. The case and not using tape will give much more stability and a clean look. Also I can remove and put it in whenever I please, another bonus I like. I don't see any issues using a case, just a tad more fab work
