People who have switched their interior lighting to led did yall use the 20 or 36 led festoon?

 

I switched all mine to LEDs but all I used was T10 led wedge blubs and one of those fuse looking ones for the rear and it seems to light up just fine. these led festoons just seem like a bunch of extra wires and unnecessary parts.

 

I thought the festoons were just a easy swap?

 

for the rear dome light I used a D42mm LED Festoon. Here is my layout for a 2008 F150

 

ya, nothing to it. The hardest part is taking the map light cover off

 

the only thing I found is the T10 bulbs with the plastic ends are junk, the ones I had the wires either broke off, had terrible connection, or the plastic piece itself broke. I recommend going the ones that are called canbus or error free bulbs, have never had a problem with them.

 

Got my LEDs put in tonight turned out great!!!

 

I got a set off a guy on here. They are brighter than any of my buddies trucks with what they bought. Plus you tell him a year, pay, and receive about three days later. May be a little more but I pay for conveince.
