From what I have been told an 04 5.4 3v head only fits 04. 05,06 and 07 are interchangeable through each other? Can anybody confirm this and if so did anyone know the difference for 04 because my 04 burned up the RH and I can't find anything used anywhere.

 

This is correct... as long as the head comes off a motor with a build date before 10/07..after this date the heads were re-designed.

 

So anything before 10/07 would fit my 04? Or just 05,6+7?

 

anything before 10/07 would be 04-07 but, you may find some late 07's with the new heads. You may even find some 08's with the old heads...

 

Okay that's what I was thinking but, I had a junk yard tell me only 04 fit on 04 that something was supposed to be different. I couldn't find any differences personally.

 

04 Heritage will only fit on 04 Heritage...is the only exception I am aware of..

 

Is the '04 Heritage the 97-early '04 body style?
