Default installing automatic climate control

Does anyone have any idea how I would go about installing automatic climate in my 04 f150. I have just the three dials right now and I want to put the digital cluster in and maybe heated seats. Any info would be great.

There is a handful and sensors that go with the automatic control and wouldn't be a simple control swap. I've never actually heard of anyone going through the trouble and expense of swapping it out.

I understand it wont be easy for sure. But im willing to do it. I want heated seats and dont want aftermarket ones or aftermarket switches. And the three dials drive me nuts.

Heated seats has been done before, but switching to auto climate control from manual I don't believe has ever been done, and don't know that it can be done. To use the factory system you have to have a lot of pieces including a cluster from a truck equipped with it. Let alone it all has to be programed to work.

It has been done before, a guy on here converted his XLT (IIRC) to a lariat but he said it was a LOT of wiring plus a few new sensors, harnesses and such. He basically said its only practical if you have a complete donor truck

Which guy? I would like to know how he got past the cluster swap issues. A lot of programming that is internal to the cluster.

Oh yes, i remember that thread now, pretty much have to swap clusters to get around the issues I was speaking off.

For what it's worth be a lot easier to just buy another truck with those options rather than swapping it in, but that's just my opinion. Will there is a will and deep pockets, there is a way.
