Default Input on 2005 STX

Still looking around for my first truck. Love the info that I find on these F-150 forums so I keep coming back. Anyone give some input on this one? If anyone has a carfax could they post it's history. Decent price for it's mileage? Thanks.

i would say no my truck is an 06 crewcab lariat and 4x4 with the 5.4 it was $14,000, i would look around more also mine had 35000 miles on it. also personal opinion is that a truck is no good unless it is 4x4 thats just me.

I would say no also. That is way too much for a regular cab. Something around $9500 would be better. Right now buyers are in control. Look around and do not jump on the first car you see. I bet when you look around you will end up getting the same truck for less than $10k. Well worth looking around. I always suggest private party also, you just save so much more money. Books like Blue Book and Edmunds are running about 25% over what vehicles are worth at the moment. If you do buy from a dealer never pay more than private party excellent, since they paid trade in value for it. Even at private party excellent they are making plenty of money.

Just as reference I recently bought a 2005 F150 XLT. KBB private party value was $12.6k and I paid $8700. If you have to have this truck I just know you could work them down to $9500.

Here is the carfax report...

Preciate the carfax!!!

Looks like a good ride, except it was taken to TX, then repo'd. Could have been dragged or just got in it and drove away. No way to know...

I would never pay close to this price with the miles. Just really seeing if the 4.6 of this year is ok, as well as the rest of the truck. I'm not liking the repo'd in a different state thing but other than that it's a clean truck it seems...

Why settle for the base model when a fairly loaded up XLT can be had for the same price?

Also is that truck a 4x4?
