So i had new nitto terra grapplers 285/75/r17 ordered and installed on my 2006 screw and when i told the shop guy what i wanted i forgot to tell him LT's and not P's....and i got P's the tread is not near as deep and they are only a 4
ply compared to a 10 ply...and they're installed

Damn! That guy should have known better putting a P on an LT. On the bright side, your ride will probably be a little smoother. Sell em on Craigslist and grab another set.

Yea they still look great, but they just arent what i wanted. But they were over $200 cheaper than lt's lol

LT is light truck P is pasenger and light truck most1/2 ton trucks are equiped with P rated tires from the factery If you will notice the P rated tire will carry almost the same load as th LT tire and at a much lower pressure with a much smoother ride better milage lower cost and a much higher speed rateing so if your not maxing out your load or hard core off roading and like better handleing and go fast your way ahead with a P rated tire on a 1/2 ton truck.

If it bothers you to the point that you want to remove them I would (I know that feeling). Unless you will be doing serious offrodaing and need the 10 ply I would leave them and get what you want next go round.
