I need shock help!
K got a 05 4x4 with a 2.5" spacer leveling kit and stock shocks. Can't afford to do the bilstein full coilovers by f150.com, so here's my question. Can by the 5100s and put on stock level and keep my spacer? Reason I'm asking is because my truck is exactly level (for me) and I have heard that they real life level only 2" instead of the advertised 2.5". Also looked at the rough country quicklift and those have been nothing but a headache(from what I have read) so any experience would be great-
(Also I'm sure my answer is already in a thread but I couldn't find it so I apologize if there is a thread about this already!)

Yes, that's exactly what I did. You'll need spring compressors though to swap the front struts out. DON'T use the 2.5" level AND the lift on the bilstiens (which you don't want anyways)... Use one or the other. I used the 2.5" HBS level with my Bilstiens set to 0" lift because the coil spring isn't as tight (rougher ride). There's a lot of debate about this on the forums.
So yes, the lift by the bilstiens is adjustable For what you want to do, keep the spacer, set the Bilstien to 0" lift. Again, you need a spring compressor to do the switch without the coils. Be careful of course

Sorry I edited that

I had FX4 shocks (2005)... I didn't really find any ride difference honestly other than a bit improved. I'm not sure on a non-FX4 what the difference in ride would be from stock to Bilstien.
