Whitecastle, I got the tires/rims on, the 18's are awesome when compared to the 17's. Attitudes up the footprint if you know what I mean. Did you do the camera yourself or have it done? I think the monitor placement is superb. Where did you get the monitor? That is the size I need. How hard is it to run the cable under the headliner? I like it for hookin' up, the wife is tired of helpin' and sometimes her guidance comes directly from womandom.

I bought mine off ebay new for $290 or 390 I can't remember anymore. From THIS GUY It is a complete kit from Vizualogic and it's real easy to do yourself. To access the headliner you need to remove one front plastic A-pillars (bolts are under the plugs at the grab handle). To get that out you also need to pull the door seal back away from it. That is easy too, just grab and pull. I talk about only one side because that's all you need to access for you cable, it and depends on which side your gonna run it (I ran mine down the passenger side). Then remove the sunvisor on the same side. The headline will drop enough that you now can feed the cable in there (note: there is a small cable tray built into the headliner, you can feel it). For getting it out of the cab I removed the kick panel (fuse panel cover) and the plastic rocker panel seal (just pull that straight up) then I pulled the carpet back and put a slit in the grommet so I could feed the cable out. From there I feed it into the frame all the was to the rear, since it's a box frame that worked out great. Then I tied the rest of the wires in with the trailer tow connector for power and mounted the camera. That's it, easy job.

This unit has the option for a second camera and could be put anywhere, even on the front It doesn't come with the second camera it cost around $180 and you have three options. One is a pedestal type two would be like the one that it comes with for the license plate (like mine) three would be the type that mounts flush. You can see these on their website.

The front sensors would definitely be helpful. It took me forever to learn to judge the distance I had left up front compared with my old ranger.

I have sen guys who have snow plow markers screwed to their bumpers, but I'm sure you could doubble side tape something similar on there until you intimately know your truck. And I hear you on the sod/rock yard thing, I drive 2 different f450's at work, and they are both beasts to get into tight places, especially since you cant see through the bulkhead, and I am usually pulling a 22 foot tandem axle bobcat trailer with a 773 cat on the back.

Default had 04 explorer with backup system. Wish 07 f150 had it!

I miss our backup alert. It was a pain when even rain on the sensors would set it off, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

I never thought I would use my sensors, but they are great now that I have them. My truck is high, and when backing into places cars will sometimes dissapear behind me. I now just listen to the beeps to judge distance. The front sensors would be nice though, becaues when parking I dont always know how large their bumber is, or how close I am to them. This nose I a whole lot shorter than my dads mega cab cummins, so it is taking some getting used to.
