Default Hypertech Max Energy

Hey! Feel free to chime in. I was searching on ebay for a programmer and ran across a great deal on a max energy. I really didn't want the max energy hoping to find a deal on an Edge, but I couldn't beat the price. Anyway, does anyone have one of these mounted in their truck? The reason I wanted the edge was that it mounts in a pod customed for these trucks. So I guess I am looking for ideas to mount in my truck.

Thanks - Big Bob

There's no reason to mount a Max Energy. It doesn't display anything like the Edge does. It is just a programmer.

I am not familiar with these programmers, so I didn't know. All I am looking for in it is the tire calibration and better fuel economy, the horsepower is just additional to me, but I coundn't see just buying a calibration instrument and not get a little more. Can you remove them after you dump the program?

I haven't got it yet. I bought it yesterday. The guy had it marked as used because he took it out of the box. He lost the truck before he could put it on, so it is basically brand new - never used. He had it listed with buy it now for 300 and I offered 250 shipped. The auction was about to end and he accepted my bid. If i don't like it I will prob sell it, we'll see.

I've been on their website but they don't give you much but straight statistics. I'll just have to play with it a little to get a feel for it.

I have one. I also have one on my Chevy Diesel. Krock is right...there is no reason to mount this programmer. Tire calibration is easy as is all the other functions. I was looking for torque and I got it. I'm happy with mine.

Default Max Edge on a 1999 4.6 F150

I am runnin a set of 305/75 's on my stock geared truck with a nice Magnaflow dual exit setup, anyone got any ideas to baseline my shift points or any other tips? I am gettin better response and a killer gain from 2800 to the limiter with the Maxedge but could use some more low end.
