So, I know this is a weird question, but I've got a 1995 XL. I took off the topper and am attempting to give it to a guy who has a 2008 F150. I figured he and I both had 6'5" inch beds, so the topper should fit just fine right? He says his bed is a 5' wide...but my topper/bed is 6' wide. Does everyone else with a 2008 F150 have a 5' wide bed? Or is this guy just really bad at measuring his bed? Now I'm worried I'll never get rid of this topper

The newer trucks are wider than the older ones. My '06 is even wider than my brother's '01.

Rough measuring- 71-73" wide on top, the bed seems to taper a bit.
Inside measuring roughly 62.5"

I didnt take my tonneau cover off so maybe its not a perfect measurement but its in the ballpark.

 

Wide enough for my 4 wheeler with aftermarket rims and tires and I have a flare-side.
