Good luck, my tint guy broke the tabs on the compass box and I busted the windshield trying to remove the mirror.

Ok so I was able to remove it successfully without breaking my windshield. I used a paint can church key and bent it to be able to get leverage on the windshield. I put masking tape on the windshield where the pressure point would be. I also used some silicone spray lube on the mirror bracket to help it slide off. I put slight pressure on the clip and tapped the mirror up towards the headliner with my other hand. I did lay down on the middle console with my head on the dash looking up at the mirror. It helped to see what I was doing.

Hope this helps someone else.

I used a small flat bladed screwdriver to pry from the bottom; I carefully pulled it sideways, and it came off. The new one I installed (had a built in compass) uses the set screw which I think is a safer way to get the mirror on/off.

The silicone spray is a great idea to assist in removing the mirror.
