How to remove dash for a 2006
It seems something must have died in my dash because I smell death and feel like I am going to puke writing this. Does anyone have any written/images information on how to remove the dash? Anything would help.... I gotta go puke now.
haha. First that sucks. Hopefully it wasn't a pissed ex. If your sure its in the dash I would start removing the radio bezel and then continue going with every screw I saw.
You may also just want to popped off the vents and check in there or under the dash into any small areas.
Sounds like sabotage, Not really sure why a dash would just start smelling for no reason....?
But check the easy things first because I would hate to see you rip your entire dash apart to find nothing at all. Hopefully you have some patience.
Good luck.

Oh sh*t. I only ask one thing, if you pull a dead mouse out of your dash please post a picture. Classic.
Is it coming from both vents (each side)?
Did that protein shake (milk I assume) get into the padding on the bottom of the vinyl floor lining? 2 day old hot milk may not be helping.
I guess just grab a beer and a friend, something to cover your nose, and start ripping apart.

The protein shake was just water and protein powder so I don't think thats it. The smell was stronger on the left side then the right side.
to remove the dash takes many hours. passenger side, you need to remove the glove box door, then the front air bag cover, then the air bag. BE CAREFUL AND FOLLOW THE TECH INSTRUCTIONS TO THE "T" on the driver side, remove the knee bolster panel, the the gauge surround, remove both windshield defrost vents, then both a-pillars. the radio surround needs to come off, cupholder/ashtray, the upper dash tray. steering wheel needs to be removed, airbag again be damn careful. then there are screws all over hell to remove. i took me like 8 hours to swap dashes in my old truck.
