Anyone know how much an 04+ tailgate goes for. I found one listed at about $500 is that a good price? Has 4 dings in it.

 

I would THINK that's a little much.. Not sure but seems out of line. Just look Partsgeek has 1 brand new for 379.00

 

Keep in mind that the brand new one is most likely just a shell with no internal parts or a handle.

I just did a search on a local junkyard's site and they have a good one for $450.

Another junkyard has a few starting at $245 with some damage to them (dents, dings, bowed, etc).

 

I thought that was a little high prices wanted to get it for around $100 with the cap handle and everything but then I saw that crazy price. It was actually $522.

One more reminder to lock your tail gait if you can. People yank em and sell em I've heard... And after seeing the price a good one will fetch shows why someone would.

 

Here is the part #18250-04028524 from partsgeek that I looked up.. If I'm reading it right it's complete.. There is another part # that is just a shell for like 345.00 I don't think this is a bad price at all.

 

Found one on CL for $125 just missing the handle. I can get a chrome handle cheap from work. Think I will go with that one. Thanks for all the input guys, much appreciated.
