I have looked all over and noone gives a straight answer on how to get to the overhead map lights in a 06 F 150. I have tried to pop the middle plastic piece down but it doesn't want to come out. i have seen videos on youtube that show the whole overhead console coming down but when I pull down on it it seems like the headliner and all wants to come with it. Any help with this would be great. Thanks.

Open the sunglass compartment for a better handle and start pulling. It takes some force for sure. Once the entire compartment comes off you can access the bulbs on the back side.

 

Alrite i appreciate the help. ima go try and pull it down without yanking down the whole headliner.

 

I got the console down. A buddy of mine does car audio and it took nothing for him to get it down. The lights look good and I appreciate all the advice
