Default How to get a magnet off

On a buddy's car they have a magnetic sticker and it's stuck on. She pealed some of it off but the rest is stuck. How can we get it off without messing up the paint?

Goo-Gone removes pretty much anything and should be safe for the paint.

Also, the man above me is correct, magnets don't "stick" to stuff.

still, Goo-Gone.

I had this issue on my old suburban. The magnet was left on so long that it wouldn't come off. Goo gone did the truck for me

Flexible magnets, like the kind you stick on trucks, are made of plastic or rubber compounds. They decay and get very sticky.

I second the Goo Gone solution. Cheap and easy. Penetration may be poor, depending on how much is left on the truck, but it's very paint-safe. I removed a plastic decal that covered both sides of a delivery van with that stuff. It took 2 weeks to get it all, but the paint was untouched.

Thanks! That was another concern about the paint so I'm glad it's ok for it

Literally just dealt with this yesterday, I used a heat gun to heat it up (although hair dryer would be safer) then keep pulling at it with my finger nail.

Plastic razor blade. Pro form adhesive remover or a heat gun

I had one stuck on my Ranger, pressure washer took it off. After they bake on in the sun the almost bond themselves to the paint. Be careful, good luck
