Default how do i do this?

i have a set of driving lights on my truck now, but the state of virginia won't let it pass inspection unless they turn off when the high beams turned on. how do i wire this up without tapping into the low beam wire?

just unplug the switch, or disable the lights for the inspection. they will pass your truck if the lights are not operating. i had to do this on my old dakota to pass about 6 years ago....

actually, according to the new rules, they can't even be on there unless they are working. virginia has gotten bad. he checked that first thing and failed it. trying to tell me i can get a ticket if it aint right. i thought about just taking them off and putting them back on when done, but i don't wanna have to do that every year.

Wire a second relay in line. Use the high beam circuit to turn the relay off.

+1 on the relay. Only way you are going to get it to work.
