Hose leak
Hey guys..can someone walk me through steps to change this line? It's the rustly looking piece near bottom of pic. I had trouble searching as honestly I don't even know for sure what it's called. Runs from cooler in front of rad to rad itself. Red fluid so I assume it's tranny fluid..do I have to drain the rad?

Don't drain rad, the coolant and the ATF shouldn't be mixing. Get a set of flare nut wrenches so you don't round the flare nuts, undo the nuts, and unclip the lines from its plastic holders. Snake it out. Installation is the reverse. Get engine hot and transmission up to operating temperature, and top it off. Not too hard.

Ah yes, your buddy is correct (I'm used to the other 4 in my fleet that don't need the quick release tools). You can pick them up at the auto parts store of your choice. IIRC you'll need a set of low profile tools, I don't know if the scissor style will fit in there.

I don't think we have Advanced Auto here in the great white north but I will check local Napa
Likely they have a similar kit (at a much higher price no doubt)

It will look like this. Your standard line set kit will not work.

So even with the correct disconnect tool I am having trouble getting line off bottom of cooler cause of extreme rust. Think I will try to remove the large fitting then cut line in order to get it off...anybody have any other suggestion?
