Horn Problems

Default Horn Problems

Last night I locked my doors with the keyfob.When I press the lock button twice.Instead of the horn just honking for a second.It stayed on.I had to pull the fuse(#26).After disconnecting the horn.I tried to put the fuse back in.I heard the relay click.Has anyone had this problem?If so please help.

Have you tried replacing the relay?

The relay is soldered to the PC board.Have you seen them go bad before?

Relays can go bad. I'm showing that it's a standard relay in the fuse panel (central junction box in the passenger side kick panel), you sure it's soldered?

I have taken all the relays out.And the one on the PC board clicks.

The PCM grounds the relay. It goes Relay > Switch > PCM

Was a solution ever found to this issue? I have the exact same symptoms and after a brief look through the Wiring Diagrams book I'm seeing the same thing--horn relay soldered onto the circuit board in the Central Junction Box.

I worked in electronics repair for nine years and have no problem digging into the CJB to replace a relay but I'd like to have a little more confidence that that is the problem and not an issue with the PCM (from which the relay is energized).

Any info from the OP or anyone else with experience would be greatly appreciated!

!!!!! That would suck, especially since I have my train horns wired into my stock horn.

My truck is acting really annoying, the horn sensor will just go off at random times, mainly when there's a loud noise... So I want to take out #26 so I don't use my horn what are the effects for this? Bc I just took it to the shop to fix the (forgot) it cost 1400$ and I can't keep fixing a broken truck. DIY time. Please help
