So, they'll fail you for not having High beams, but will pass you if using something non DOT approved for those highs?

I'm running 6000K in fogs and headlights (bi xenon) love em...$60.00 never had a bulb burn out in 3 years...I run my fogs all the time... Mad bright too! Can't stress that!

most of the shops all they do is check to see if they work they dont care what kind of lights are in there. there are alot of people around here running really blue almost purple lights and they never get any problems

i got the 55w kit from ddm tuning and i couldnt ask for anything better. i got the bi-xenon low/high beam kit. it was like 100 total. i also went with the 6k intensity. they have just a slight hint of blue but more white than anything. like i said i love them and couldnt have asked for anything better. i have property in the northern lower peninsula of michigan and driving the back roads and trails at night with the even the low beams make it much more easier to spot deer from attacking my truck.

I just got done installing mine today and they look more like 6000s and nothing close to the 8000s I see around here I will post some pics of them when it gets dark tonight but so far they look like a quality kit

I got some off amazon from hid outlet for 76.00 shipped. Awesome quality and they are hi/low in one.
