OPT7 LED installed in stock housing here. Throw is great. Better than stock.
Had my wife drive the truck behind me and opposite. No issues. I get blinded by other cars far worst.

I run 4x4 truck leds in my 05 lariat headlights and no flashing at me .
4x4 leds not cheap but they are worth it . I don't get any complaints from other drivers .

I've been running LED low beams in my stock housing for the past five months. I've had a few people flash, but I don't find them any more irritating that those who have stock HID's that blind me while driving. Mine are aimed down, but not so much that I can't see where I am going. I did wire my high beams to my auxiliary Hella F500 long range Halogen lights, and have been very satisfied with my lighting solution since doing so. The LED's/HID are a significant upgrade over stock halogen as they do a fine job in picking up the reflective street stripe pigment or the reflective signs. <br>
Everyone has their own opinions on running LED/HID bulbs in stock housing, but it's working well for me so far and I am happy with my results.

We are new on this thread. My wife has a 2011 F150 and neither of us can see well with the stock headlights. What is a quality light supplier and what would be the best way to help our elder eyes see better?

Dropped by the Diode Dynamics Bastrop location. It's a guys house a little off the beaten track. He was nice and I got a good vibe so I'm going to order through him this weekend for the shopping sale of 20%. That'll save a little and I'll pay him to put it in.

Man, just readjusted the LEDs from OPT7 and what a difference. Much better illumination.
Had to take off the two tiny screws off the white collar. Drilled a hole small enough for the screw and then one bigger to offset the set so it holds the collar down tight.
But once I adjusted the collar to have the LED mount so the LEDs are 9 to 3 o'clock (left to right) the beams were much more defined and over all projection is nice. Took more drives around town last few nights and so far so good. No flashing or having the lights blind the person infront.

"You're getting flashed because people think you're high beams are on and you think that's not an issue?? HID's are not stock and should not be in stock reflector housings and they blind you, and that's only "irritating"??
Whatever..."
BlueBlood, I get what you're saying. But in all honesty I can see better, and that's what's important to me. I'm blinded by those with stock HID's and deal with their blinding light. NO it doesn't bother me that someone is briefly inconvenienced by my LED's in my stock housing. I'm not going to dish out over grand for some aftermarket projector lighting system just because someone is temporarily inconvenienced by my headlights. If I have to deal with stock HID's that are blinding to me, then someone can deal with my LED's.
It took Ford how many decades to design a headlight housing for those of us who continually drive in pitch black?!? Only available on the higher end trims for the 2009-2014 trims (projectors), and the 2015-present with LED lighting from the factory. I unlike a lot of these people on here use my truck as a tool--it's truly used in pitch black on and off road conditions.
I'm not here to get in a pissing match with anyone, and we will all have opinions on LED's or HID use in stock housing. The second generation Toyota Prius used and HID light in a reflector housing. My 2002 Nissan Maxima used an HID light in stock reflector housing--both cars with HID lighting stock from factory.
Anyways, this is what works for me. Each to their own.
