Xenondepot.com. Their kits are a little more expensive but they back everything 100%. Ask for Mike if you ever have any problems and he will ship the new item to you and you keep the old. I had a mix up on bulb serial numbers and he just sent the new bulbs out to me. Check them out!

DDMtuning has gone down the ****ter the past like 6 months. alot of my friends ordered from them and got used ballasts, when they paid for new ones, and got crappy HI/low kits.... but i guess you get what ya pay for. i personally would recommend oracle. paid 200 for my set 2 years ago and have gotten all of my ballasts and bulbs replaced for shipping cost only. great people to order from!

Jesus, if I paid $200 for an HID kit, I wouldnt expect to have to replace anything at all, let alone have to pay shipping. how many ballasts and bulbs have you gone through? you can get 5 sets of HID kits (which Im sure are the same thing you paid $200 for just in different packaging) for that price, free shipping, and then if one goes out just throw a new one on

I was going to order from DDM but others in the forum talked me out of it. Jon_To is a member here on the forum, I ordered from him today. Everyone says his customer service is the best.

You get what you pay for. If its cheap, you can guarantee the quality is cheap. Most conversion kits that advertise 55w are actually just re-badged 35w kits, very few quality 55w ballasts are out there.

Might want to read up on DDM before going that route:

And you may want to consider also reading about HID projectors as well since the glare from conversion kits can be harmful to other drivers. I recommend signing up at hidplanet.com and browsing the forums, excellent information regarding HIDs and their benefits/drawbacks.

Good luck with your project.

I will argue that first point with you...I have $35 HID kits that are going on 3 years and still going strong...no blown ballast or bulbs. Most of the HID kits you buy are exactly the same, just some companies put them in prettier packaging and charge 3x what other places do. right now, I have a 2 kits (headlights and fog lights) on the truck that is over a year old, they have been through mud and pressure washing and are still shining like they did the day I put them on...paid $55 for both shipped with a coupon

That is great news that you got a good set. The truth is that the quality control is quite bad with most of these cheap kits. Sure, some people like yourself have not had any issues so you got a great deal. However, many others have bad ballasts, bad bulbs, and are constantly having to get replacements. OEM HID bulbs and ballasts are extremely reliable and rarely need replacing for the entire life of the vehicle they reside in, so why isn't it the same for conversion HIDs? Simply a matter of quality control, hence why the conversion kits cost so little.

I would love to see your $35 kit ballast do this:
