HID conversion with projectors and led fogs
So just yesterday I installed a pair of Spyder projectors with a 35w 6000k HID kit. I have yet to wire up the leds (I have questions on this later). Led fog lights (which I want to try a different style led bulb). Also, LED switch backs. Tell me what you think.
As for my questions, I wanted to wire the Leds and halos on the headlight as a daytime running light (key on source). I have come up with a few options that I like and was wondering which would be the best/correct way of doing this.
Option 1: use the open relay spot in the fuse box
Option 2: use the fuse 14 (factory daytime running light fuse location)
or
Option 3: run a jumper wire from a known key on source to and empty fuse spot
suggestions are appreciated

I also have those headlights took them off because I don't have my rear taillights night shaded or aftermarket tail. Anyways have them run as a daytime will shorten the halos life. But best way to go is the fuse way, first option. Also what size is the bulb for the projectors?
Looks awesome! nice cut off with the HIDs in those projectors. I'm glad you posted this as I just got a pair of these lights for Christmas and was wondering how the HID's would look in them.
sndva1: According to the Spyder website, and now that I've actually looked at the headlights, I can tell you that the low beam bulb is a 9006.

Well actually my CCFLs are doing the same thing, but I have them wired into the side marker instead of the parking lights. I called Spyder today and the guy told me that when they are wired that way, they do not always get the correct or constant voltage so they should be wired into the parking lights. He also said that to test them you can run a wire from the red and black ones off the CCFL converter directly to the battery not as a permanent thing, but just to test and see if the wiring was the problem. and as long as the HIDs are better in these as compared to the stock housing, I'll be happy haha

Yah maybe that was the problem with mine causes had mine wired into the side marker. And yes the output was better than stock for sure. It was better than my plug and play hid kit but I wasn't happy with the cutoff
Well it'll be better than stock halogens which suck and I have LEDs in the headlights right now but they are no where near bright enough, which I kinda thought it wouldn't be going into it, but I figured it was worth a try. I think the HIDs are gonna be just what I'm looking for (hopefully)
