Default Here we go again..

One thing after another with this truck..

NOW, it won't start. Brand new optima battery in there..about 4 weeks old.. it's been starting and running find.. haven't driven it since monday, so about 6 days ago, went to start it today..it chimes when you put the key in, goes forward with the whole start up routine, then when you crank it, it only clicks. You can hear the clicking coming from the fuse box on the passengers side..and you can hear everything else come on as it should.. I even tried to jump it and it won't even do anything but the clicking in the fuse box when you go to crank it. Any ideas? 2004 5.4l btw!

Thats what I was thinking.. But is that only a part you can get from ford? And is that located under the hood on the drivers side fender in that box or is that in the fuse box as well with the other relays?

If not the relay ----then check the cable to the starter AT the starter. I had a '97 and the ac condenser dripped on the cable and corroded it over the years. Got the same response lights and chimes but no crankin'. Most likely its the starter relay tho...sorry I don't know where that is on your truck. Good Luck
