I put Motorcraft in mine and the look to be the same as they were before (i.e. "two-piece"). I read somewhere that they may have started making the newer models with a slightly smaller circumference so the carbon build-up is less likely to make the bottoms of these stick, but don't quote me on that because I have no idea if it is true.

In any case, I think your best bet is to use the antiseize and check the plugs every couple of years thereafter. Personally, I'm just going to change mine out every two to three years; I don't ever want to deal with this headache again.

autolites are made on the same line by the same people as motorcrafts. only difference is the ink put on the side for the name.
