Default Help please!

Hi all,

I have replaced my IWE's, Vacume solenoid, 4x4 actuator at transfer case... all brand new.

I have trouble shooted the switch on the dash. it tests good. The fuses are all good as well.

Problem is the 4x4 lights turn on when I turn on the ignition, but they don't light up and the actuator doesn't activate...again, it is brand new.

anyone know of another issue, or something electrical to look for?
thx

Did you try the truck in neutral and see if it will engage? Or just in drive?

Im stumped. But given the criteria you mentioned i would say its a problem with the tcase itself.

Could be the rare case were your new actuator is faulty straight from the factory.

Default Have you replaced the relays?

There are two relays for the 4x4 system. They are located under the hood in a little black plastic box roughly above the front drivers side wheel. They are super easy to access from above.

I mention this because I followed the same path as you... yes, even replacing the actuator on the transfer case... and it turned out to be the 2 $20 relays.

Good luck!

Amen Brother. Failing to mention Jack wheel up, getting under the truck with your little hammer and tapping it while someone tries to turn on the 4x4 may free it up. It could be stuck and refusing to engage and simply rap rap rapping it may do the $700 dollar miracle.
