Default help order tires

im looking into getting tires, and i will be using my stock 18" rims. i will have a 2.5" leveling kit put on before i get tires. i know i want 33" tires. my question is: what is a good width to get? and what are the numbers i would select on a website to order the tires?
Example: 305/65/18.
is that about the size i am looking for? i do not want skinny tires lol i want them to be proportional
thanks

285 or 295/70/18s would be my guess. I have 285/70/17 on my truck now and they fit well.

285/65/18 is about 32.7 by 11.6. The 305s are about a 33x12 and sound like they will be more of what u want. 295/70/18 is about 34.5x11.8 or so. Look real good on a leveled 4x4. Ryanparish has a thread about his from yesterday and they look great.

My 305/70/17s I had on my old f150 were 34.2x12.3. And I had 295/70/17s on my diesel and they were 33.8x12.1

All manufaturers have specifications that lists all the exact dimensions of the tire. Check the manufacturers site and check the specific model you want and select specifications and you will get the tire size in inches for height and width and more.

Just an fyi...285 is width of the tire in milimeters, 70 would be the percentage of 285 in height and the last 18 is obviously rim size in inches
