Default Help me brainstorm on this mod idea

Okay, well as some of you know, I just installed a set of 11-13 red and black FX2 fender badges. I decided to get an extra right side badge like the one below to replace the F150 badge on the drivers side of the tailgate. I have several options I have thought of.

PLEASE VOTE ON THE POLL!

1) Install it as is, leaving all the FX2 section

2) Cut off the FX2 section, but leave a small "tab" fill with a bondo material, sand and paint black to match.

3) Cut off all the FX2 "tab", leaving just the F150 portion and fill the "0" on the edge with bondo and paint black to match.

Any other suggestions are welcome. I did not go with the standard red/black tailgate F150 badge due to the contours on the backside.

If the flareside version is available for the FX2, it didn't have the contours, would fit your tailgate fine. I know they only made the flareside for one or two years with those badges. I would cut it off and bondo it if it was me...........

There is no red/black flareside tailgate emblem for flareside, they are chrome and 1 piece.

The only downfall to cutting the FX2 "tab" off is the whole F150 portion would need to be painted black, which I really dont want to do. Most likely, and because I think it will be different and unique, it will be mounted as it. Never seen a 04-08 FX2 with it on the tailgate.

I personally prefer no badges at all, that's why I removed all of mine but if you like them then I would get rid of the tab all together.

Thats what I am leaning toward, plus when has anyone ever done it? Seeing the "FX2" on the tailgate seems kind off cool to me for some reason.
