No offense but I think the first problem is that you are trying to lower a 4x4.

yeah, i dont know why you would lower a 4x4. but the point of the 2 extra inches in the back is because usually the bed of a truck sits 2" higher stock. pictures would be appreciatted. i'd like to see this. and have you got an allignment yet, that might be why your hubs are grinding now.

I didn't know that people lowered 4x4 trucks. Give us the link to your kit and we can take a look at it. Are you sure it is for a 4x4? Grinding noise could be dirt or gravel in the hubs.

I don't agree with lowering 4x4's either but it's your truck and if you want to ruin it then go ahead. With that said if you tow anything it's going to sag ALOT more than it's supposed to and it's possible that you might bottom out.

I assume it's one of four things

1) you put the block back in underneath the axle. If so take it out and use the U bolts from the kit

2) you are missing the lift shackles. If so get them and put them in

3) for some reaason it doesn't lower the 4wd trucks as much in the front. Either get drop springs or spindles for the front, or get the lifting hanger in the rear.

4) Also check to see if you have a leveling spacer in the front, if you got it used its a good possibility, if so take it out

did you measure how much the kit dropped it like it says in the instructions? If so post them up.

Can you explain to me how having the exact same springs, just mounted slightly different will make the spring not have the same spring rate?
