Default help answer question

i did some research on this "Gotts Mod" and i think i am going to go thru with it. now i have a few questions before buying materials.
1. I saw some ppl used PVC to fit into the whole in the fender. i think i might do that, but is this rubber tubing they sell at like autozone ok to clamp from the original intake tube to the PVC pipe? ive heard people say they have had tubes suck themselves together which is why i am asking before i just do it.
2. my other question is about the mufflers on the stock intake. people say they cut them off and plug the holes. can any1 post pictures of their cut off mufflers?

and please any advise would be great to hear. thanks!

yea. ive read some things where people cut that muffler off of their stock intake and covered the open holes, and one guy said he used sprinkler plugs to plug the holes.
and forget about the first question, i made my own intake tube today lol

You really dont need anything but the pvc pipe and hose clamp... you can use the stock flexible connector if you prefer.... also using the stock piece will allow for engine vibration in the intake....

I would definately use the stock flex connector, or else you'll have to live with some bad squeeking from the engine movement (first hand experience).

As far as the silencer goes, from what I've read removing it will make you hear the intake more, but won't do much for increasing airflow.

i just heard that it just creates more of a sound rather than airflow, and im just looking for the sound. i was wondering if any1 had done it and had pictures. i did the intake yesterday, and so far no squeaks or rattles the way that i did it.
