Default help against chevy

I'm trying to beat my sgts 2008 Chevy 4.8 L 4x4. I have a K&N CAI, Programmer, Exhaust, What else can i get. pulling wise this truck will pull out a Chevy's rear end. but racing its just quite not there. ANY IDEAS!

you prob aint gonna win that race alot is involved, maybe gears and is it custom tuning or what and what motor 5.4???

its a 5.4. but his truck is lifted two. he was only half a car length ahead. my truck started out ahead. then as soon as the trans shifted he went by

ha well those gears aint helpin none what you runnin 35's 37's, i would go with 4:56 or somethin around there

37s, so 4:56. wouldnt i loose torque.

no youd get gobs of torque lol youd just run higher rpm highway. 4.56 and 37s is almost like stock with a little more torque

37's you want 4.88's, come outta the whole good, but higher end your motor will be screaming...racing a truck on 37's is just stupid, but whatever works for ya.

man i dont know how your runnin 37's and 3.55 wow that has to be a huge power loss.....
