Default Headlights Dont Light...

My 2005 decided not to light up the road for me last nite... Fogs work, as do the parking lights, and my fuses seem good. Do I have a bad switch? Any help is surely appreciated as this condition really hurts my social life. Not that I have one, as I am married.

Do you call a contractor when a lightbulb in your house burns out? Maybe a bulb burned out, they don't last forever you know...

that was pretty harsh Mudfish... you feelin ok? Both bulbs typically burn out at the same time? It could happen I guess, if that is the case, I thank you for stating what should have been obvious.

You didn't come out and say that both headlights stopped working at the same time. Others can help you better if you describe your problem(s) in detail. Do you have a multimeter or a test light? Tracing the problem shouldn't be too hard if you have some basic electrical and/or automotive skills.

Youre right, my mistake. Both lights failed, while my fogs and pkg lights still work. I thought it may have been a situation that someone else has experienced. I figured a switch issue, but may be mistaken. Any time I can do my own maintenance, I do. I do have both mulit meter and test light, and will put them to good use Sunday. Thanks Again

I doubt it would be your switch if the parking lights and fog lights still work other than the fuses I'm not sure what to tell you to check

I took it to mean that both lights went out, not sure how you missed it

So we all had our own interpretations based on what the OP stated. That doesn't make any of us wrong, or right for that matter. You both assumed, while I thought only one bulb wasn't working since he didn't say BOTH in the first post. Moving on...
