Headlight Switch with HIDs
Hey all,
so I installed a set of HIDs into my headlights and I'm gonna be installing my retrofitted headlights later this week but I noticed my headlight switch doesn't affect my HIDs while the truck is running which I'm assuming is because I have a relay hooked up to them. When I turn the switch to off the HIDs stay on. never really bothered me because I never needed to turn them off, but with my new headlights I have XB halos behind and in front of the shroud and I'd like to have it so my HIDs aren't on during the day by switching it to park lights. Any ideas on how to fix it?
I've done the Bambi mod too.

Drivers side fender under the hood. It'll be a little black fuse box and it should actually be labeled on the cover. Pull the relay out and see if it solves the issue for you. I can tell you with mine, it definitely left my HID's on. I've since added a shutoff to the e-brake pedal (why Ford never done this is beyond me), switch on the dash to turn on/off, switch to drop DRL's to my fog lights, and another switch to have fogs go on with high beams (similar to bambi mod however I wanted to control my fogs independently... i.e. only on in low beam, only on in high beam, on anytime, or off anytime).
