Hey guys its been a while since i have posted on this site, school and work have basically taken over my life. Finally found some time cause im giving up being extremely lazy for lent, so im getting up like 2 hours earlier than normal to have some extra time on my hands.

I was planning on designing a new headlight lamp that has the potential to get produced and sold, but the only problem is, I have no idea what the dimensions of the headlight assembly is. I was wondering if any of you guys knew, or if i should just go pull the light off my truck, which will just be a hassle till this semester is over.

Ive searched about 15 pages through google, and don't know where else to turn.

I would start with cruising the FS section here. I know that I got a set of OEM headlights for free... less my shipping cost. I was going to put in a set of tilting bi-xenon headlight guts from the inside of Volvo XC90 headlights that I got off ebay. I had everything set up and cut apart and was about to begin the install and fabrication phase and then sold the truck. Ghey.

 

Thats a good idea, i can take them apart, measure and whatnot. Im actually designing it in SolidWorks, which is a 3D Modelling program, so I need all the necessary measurements to to get the correct size.

 

I've got a set of OEM heads off my 06 Lariat - just mounted some projectors. Great shape but I ain't givin them away free - that was one heckofa deal Lenn!

i bought 1 off ebay for $40 w/ shipping, so unfortunately, i cant offer you anything.

But When im finished designing the headlight assembly, ill take a screen shot and you guys can tell me what you think of it... although it might take a few months
