Ya, people really hate this country so much that they are walking across miles of desert just to have a piece of the American dream.
I have a right to carry a firearm for protection in my country. I have undergone a training course, passed an exam, had a background check, and paid for it every step of the way. If you do not like it, then stay the hell out of this country and live in yours how you please.
People do not carry guns like wallets, that is pure ignorance speaking. In my gun friendly state, approximately 2.6% of the residents have a license to carry. You can be a real man all you want, I am going to be the man going home to my family rather than the man who's family is getting some bad news.

BTW this post is seriously off topic, but I can not help disputing ignorance when I see it.

Actually, shooting someone in act of self defense is not illegal. Killing them in the act of self defense guaranties they will never try to do it again.
If you choose not to carry, that is your prerogative, I have the FREEDOM to choose if I want to carry, and I choose not to be a victim.

^ now that is freakin amazing! i just find some peoples "i can protect my self with my bare hands or the police will protect me" mentallity hilarious. i dont care if your some spec ops hero or the #1 MMA fighter in the world, no human being can dodge a bullet. and for the police. it would take them atleast 5 min to get to you unless your lucky enough to have an officer passing by, but thats if you can get your phone out and dial 911 without him seeing. since the dawn of mankind humans have always had weapons and there has always been evil doers that use them. it is ignorant to think that if we outlaw guns we will be safe. gun control only effects the law abiding citizen, which 99% of the time is not someone who would commit a crime with a legal weapon.

I am with you 100% on that statement. I carry all the time. You never know when you may need it and we always hope we never are put in the situation where we would need it

Please pray for us that live in Illinois (not Chicago). We are still trying to pass Conceal and Carry bills. Right now, only police and retired police can carry.

Some towns (Chicago for one) even ban individuals from owning handguns. It is amazing the number of shootings in Chicago. Must be those law abiding criminals in Chicago.
