Thanks for all the responses so far. I must admit, I was a bit hesitant to tackle this project, but after getting in their and doing it I have a better understanding of how it works. I have pulled the actuator out and it appears to be the problem. As I press it, it feels like the spring behind it is broken or has a something in it keeping the gear from fully depressing. I also put my vacuum pump back on it and as you pull a vacuum, one side of the gear goes completely in but the other side only pulls about half way in. I guess this would explain the partial engaging. Any thoughts on this or other things to consider before I buy/replace the actuator?
