Hey everybody, a few months ago I posted a thread about the new BFG tires, and didnt know which tire to run. It was between the 305 and the 315. Well, after much thought and staring at the front of my truck for hours, I decided to order the 305/65/17 A/T. I placed an order at www.tirerack.com, and after the cost and shipping, to send them to middle tenn, it ran $989. The rep said it'll be around tuesday before they come it. I'll be on shift tuesday, so I'll have to wait til I get off wednesday to actually have them mounted. I bought a set of 17x8 MB Motoring Blitz wheels off of e-bay for $350 (which doesnt look bad for $350). But I'll post some pix after I get them mounted and my truck cleaned up to show. I just hope that I dont regret not the 315/70. So, check back in a week or so, and I should have them posted. Take care-J.Thomas

I'll be anxious to see the pics. I replaced my junk 255/65R17 Continentals about 5k ago with Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor 275/70R17. I love the tires and they look great. I thought about 285's but I stayed with the stock rims and I was concerned about turning clearance. Yours should look awesome.

Thanks everybody, after I placed the order and posted the thread, I thought about cancelling my order for a set of 315's, but I'm gonna stick with my choice on this one. It shouldnt over fill the wheel-well with to much tire. SO who knows. But I have a question, how do I post pix on here? I have a photobucket account, and I'm sure what to do. Do I paste the URL imagine, or the HTML imagine? Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question that could be answered with a simple answer, but I cant figure it out. And how to make a gallery, that would also help.

But thanks again, and I'll find out a way to show them off.

How many miles did you put on your junk Cons before you replaced them? I am curious because I have the same set at @ 4500 miles.

I had just over 40k on them. Two of them were replaced under warranty so they really didn't even go that far. I ran my last set of Wranglers 75k and they still had legal tread left.

 

UPDATE! Well everybody, I got my tires in today, and had them mounted earlier, and they look great. They really give my truck a better llol. I love them. I'm sorry I dont have any pix loaded up yet, I should by the end of the week. I took some pix of them next to my pro-comp at, and hopefully yall can get a better idea what BFG is offering. The tire filled up my wheel-well more, but didnt stick out as far. But for the most part, I give it a 9. Check back in a few and I'll get some pix for yall. Take Care
