I used to be a HUGE 7.3 fan...until my buddy got one. It's nickel and diming him like crazy. During the production of the 6.0. Ford sold 3x as more 6.0's than Chevy and Dodge did they're diesels. With more 6.0's on the road of course your gonna hear more of them breaking down. My personally favorite motor is the 6.0 because like previously mentioned with 5-6k put into them. They're every bit as good and better than a 7.3. Plus around here a 6.0 is the same price as a F150.

Yes I initially started wanting the diesel, because I wanted one for the power, resale and versatility of them. I'm hard on just about anything I own. My boss has a '12 f150 with the while tow package and its an awesome truck, but not towering anything he gets 16 mpg, and towering a 20' trailer with his miata on it he gets 7-8. Bad. A diesel will get the same weather I'm towing or not.

if you want proof of the 6.7L lasting. we had a customer at our dealer that bought a brand new 2011 f350 and has 300k on it already. and all he does it maintenance on it.
