Alright with my tax money I'm gettin new 35s and since I got a 4.2 ima need new gears, what would be the best ratio? I've been told 4:10, and I don't wanna do a LS! And would a 02 mustang 8.8 be the same as my 8.8??

I'm wondering the same about gearing. I'm going to be putting on 20" rims with either 33 or 35 inch tires. Trying to keep the mpg at it's best. Unsure on how to do that and how the front end will be affected. 2007 FX4

I have 4.56 on my rig with 35's. LOVE THEM! They did wonders, and it's more torquey than it was stock. On the freeway, I pull about 2k RPMs at 70mph, so it's not bad at all. It does fine, and really helps pull on a hill.

Well the lower the ratio the better the milage... But for a 35 the 4.10 would be perfect, I run 40's on 4.56's and my gas milage is still around 14.3... And th 4.56's do not suck on the highway. Also the only thing the gears do when you run a bigger tire is bring your torque curve back up to normal unless you are runnig the bigger tire like the 35's, in that case with a 4.10 you will have you gas milage go back to stock probably and the 4.56's you will get a little more responsive power and gas milage as long as your foot doesn't turn to lead like mine haha

Ain't that the truth! LOL, I'm getting around 13-14mpg depending on how I drive. Back to stock numbers basically for me... I never had high MPGs to begin with, so go figure lol
