Default Gear swap

Truck is a 2005 f150 ext cab 4wd with the 5.4. Currently running 34 in tires and stock 3.55 gears.

Truck is a daily driver with around 20 miles a week on hwy, rest is rural or town roads. Truck is used to tow a atv trailer with two atvs on it on the weekends. The area i live in is mountains and im either driving up a hill or down a hill. My truck is averaging 10mph hwy without a trailer and seems sluggish with the 34s.

Decided i want to put new gears on but cant decide between 4.10s or 4.56s

I run a 285/70/17 (32.7") with 4.10 gear. I wouldn't hesitate at all to run a 4.56 with a 34" tire.

I have 4.10s with 35s and cant complain! However, if you're towing and live in the mountains then you should do the 4.56 gears.

This is why I am going with 4.88. Plus I might go up in tire size to 37's

While i have no complaints with the 4.10s the 4.56 or 4.88s wouldve been more fun lol.
