We have an 06 with the I6 engine.
I think its a 27 gallon tank and we routinely get about 400 out of the tank. But how many miles should we be able to do once the low fuel beeper chimes?

 

wish i could get 400 miles on a tank. i have the 5.4 v8 with a 30 gallon tank. i know when the chime starts im on 5 gallons reserve, each quarter tank for me is approximately 6.25 gallons

 

i think i remember my owners manual said roughly 50 miles once the light comes on. this is for an 07 V6 xl. thats about 2.5 gal. of gas for me, i average 20-21 mpg

 

Is yours 4x4? whats your MPG? I get 11.5!

its a 4x4, four door w/20" fx4 rims and tires. I average between 12.4-13.6 city/highway. currently at 222 miles on a half tank, drove to san diego and back to oc

 

just got an 04 Fx4 about 3 weeks ago....checked my milage twice. first time i got 13.6 2nd time i got 15.7 i dont know what type of driving you consider mine to be. I live in the country so its mostly country back roads at 45-55mph

 

I thought about this too! Did this person do an engine swap?
